As a retired Federal Worker there are a few things being lost in the Noise from Left/Right. I worked 30 years for the US Government, 4 years in the Military (Platoon Ldr in Vietnam) and 26 years as civil Service. I have a degree in Economics and a 6 in stack of Certifications.

I am getting so tired of the total ignorance of the public about the Government workers. Ask yourself this 1)What private company requires a bachlors degree for it's head clerks.....? Answer: only the government. 2) What company is required to take EVERYONE as a client.

There used to be a law against monopoly, and another against loss leaders. Just what do you think Walmart does to have these low prices? They have destroyed this countries jobs, and they continue the mission. as near as I can tell every Wal-Mart exec is getting a payout from China.

Javier, you are correct. Except of course the idea that a non-profit trying to really change anything is doable. In the sixites we called them violent radicals.

Aside from the obvious bias javier is correct. non-profits seek to serve a population the rest of us wish would just die and get out of the way...oh, wait, did I just list your non-working grandparents or you disabled son, daughter...hmmm. Well anyway, you get the drift.

As the husband of a non-profit director (who gets paid $25 per hour) the problem isn't the non-profits. It's the wealthy families who set up non-profits as a tax scam.
